What are outgoing applications for payment?
Once progress has been updated, the valuation from this progress is automatically updated in the application bill. From here you can generate an application, download it in a spreadsheet format and email it to your client for review an payment.
Once approved, the payment can be certified in Chalkstring and the charts and reports will update to reflect your latest payment.
If an application is certified in error, or with the wrong values, you can reverse the application to 'uncertify' the submitted values. This will allow you to recertify with the correct values
How to a 'uncertify' an application for payment
- Expand the main Chalkstring black menu bar and click on the ‘Projects’ menu.
- Search for and click the 'Project' required.
- Within the project homepage, click the ‘Project hub’ sub-menu.
- Expand the main Chalkstring blue menu bar and click ‘Applications’.
- Select the ‘Open Outgoing Applications’ sub menu and click on the application to sent to your client.
- This will display a summary certified application values.
- Click the 'Uncertify' button to set the application back to how it was prior to the certification values being submitted'. The application will be displayed in the 'Outgoing Applications' sub menu with a status of 'Sent'.
8. Recertify the application as normal with the required values.

- This process will delete any information entered when the application was submitted
- This process cannot be undone, only proceed if you are sure you want to uncertify the application.
Notes
- The 'Uncertify' button will only be available for the most recent application for the project. If you need to uncertify earlier applications, you will need to uncertify each previous application in turn until you reach your required application. You will then need to recertify them again in order. We strongly recommend you do not recertify them out of the sequence order.
