Here at Chalkstring, your feedback is vital to us. To manage your feature requests and suggestions we use a website we call the feature request feedback portal. This is used by all of our clients to submit, vote and track feedback suggestions for Chalkstring.
We know you're busy running projects, and when you take time to share ideas through our portal Chalkstring.Convas.io and our support team, you deserve to know what happens next. Here's how we turn your feedback into features.
How we decide what to build
Every quarter, we choose one major enhancement to focus on. Your votes and comments in Convas are crucial to that decision, but they're not the only factor. Here's what shapes our roadmap:
Making the product better for everyone - We focus on features that benefit most of our customers or open Chalkstring up to new trades. This helps us keep improving the platform for the long term.
Supporting your success - Sometimes we prioritize features that help new customers get started smoothly or help existing clients adopt features they're not yet using. When we make the software more intuitive, everyone benefits.
Technical reality - Some requests would require fundamental changes to how Chalkstring works. You might notice the highest-voted item hasn't been built yet - that's usually because of technical complexity, not lack of interest.
Keeping Chalkstring competitive - Occasionally we'll prioritize a feature needed for a significant new client or partnership. Landing these opportunities means we can invest more in development and infrastructure to benefit all users.
What high votes mean
Votes tell us where to focus our attention. When many customers vote for something, it signals that an area of the product needs work. Even if we don't build your exact request, your votes guide which areas we improve.
Want to know about your specific request?
We aim to be honest about what's feasible and when. If you want to know whether your specific idea is being considered, email help@chalkstring.com and we'll give you a straight answer about feasibility and timing. We can't always say yes, but we can tell you why.
How to increase the chances your feedback gets implemented
- Add detail to your request - Help us understand not just what you want, but why it would help your workflow
- Upvote ideas you care about - This helps us see patterns across customers
- Stay engaged - When we're working on an area where you've contributed feedback, we may reach out for more details
We're a small team focused on building quality features rather than rushing through requests. That means we can't implement everything, but we do read every suggestion and use your feedback to guide where we invest our time.
Thank you for helping us build better cost management software for subcontractors.
