      2.6 - Product Templates

      What are product templates?

      Product templates are stored in the Resources area of Chalkstring. This is a central library of the most common products and services that you offer to your clients.

      Product templates are the building blocks of your project rate build-ups and they group together the materials and labour activities to complete a particular item of work. 

      Within each product template, you specify the amounts of materials and/or labour required to complete that work.

      When combined with the bill of quantities on a project, they will allow you to generate the material and labour bills required for the project.

      Once created, you can use a product template on multiple projects or as the basis to create new templates.
