Projects Overview

A project (or 'job') is a series of related tasks, when carried out in the correct order will lead to the completion of the project.  A Chalkstring project contains all the data needed to produce a scope of works required for a tender.   Once the tender has been accepted by your client, the project data is transferred to an onsite version of the project, with functionality to manage and track the project until its completion.

The Chalkstring project workflow Once accepted by the client
1. Create and set up your project.

7. Go through a post tender review/add any variations.

2. Build up your estimate. 8. Order materials.
3. Review the assessment. 9. Order any fixed costs.
4. Submit the tender. 10. Log progress/track issues.
5. Make final changes. 11. Add labour applications.
6. Accept the tender in Chalkstring. 12. Generate application for payment.
  13. Reconcile accounts.
  14. View project commercials/reports.
  15. On completion of the project, 'archive' the project.
