Release summary
We're excited to share the latest improvements to Chalkstring, focused on making it easier to check supplier invoices and track your fixed cost deliveries. These updates save you time and reduce the need for separate spreadsheets.
New features
Check Supplier Invoices Against Your Actual Costs
-
When a supplier sends you a monthly hire invoice, you can now see exactly what costs built up during that period. Click on any fixed cost order to review costs for specific dates and quickly spot any differences between what you're being charged and what was actually hired.
Track Fixed Cost Deliveries
-
You can now log fixed cost deliveries directly in Chalkstring and see all delivery information alongside your orders. This replaces the need for separate tracking spreadsheets and keeps all your delivery records in one place with proper documentation.
Fixed Cost Delivery Schedule and History
- New delivery schedule shows you what's coming, while delivery history keeps track of what's already arrived. Both include filtering options to help you find specific deliveries quickly.
External Reference Number Support
- If you use an external ordering system, you can now add those reference numbers to your Chalkstring orders. This makes it much easier to match delivery notes to the right orders and search for everything using your external system's numbers.
Note: To access the new delivery features, you may need to update user permissions in your system. Contact help@chalkstring.com if you need assistance with this.
Improvements
Better Cost Visibility
-
Cost totals now appear more prominently on order pages and in order lists, so you can see current cost positions at a glance without opening individual orders.
Enhanced Invoice Information
- Invoice tables now show invoice dates and payment due dates, making it easier to track when invoices were issued and when payments are due.
