What are supply & fit product templates?
If you have a product that you don't intend to self-deliver, then you can create a supply & fit product template. You will need to define the details for the product, the component structure, and any allocated contingency required. The materials and labour do not need to be defined if the product will only ever be used for supply & fit purposes.
Product templates that are defined as self-delivered templates where the labour and material details are defined can also be used and converted to supply and fit when added to a project rate build-up.
When these are used in a rate build-up, the material and labour details will be stripped out of the product and it will be flagged as a supply and fit product.
If you use the 'convert to supply & fit' option this will only impact the product in the rate build-up, and not the product template in the database.
