What is the legend feature when to use it
The legend feature allows you to include a key on your takeoff drawings which displays a list of your products and their units. This enables drawings look more professional and can be understood instantly by clients and subcontractors, without flipping between pages.
How to use the legend feature
A legend can now be added directly to drawings, showing product names, colours, and shapes.
- The 'Legend' function is accessed from the 'Markup' section of takeoff.
- Once in the 'Markup' section, click 'Legend' in the floating toolbar.
When the legend is added it will appear in the centre of the visible part of the takeoff drawing.
- The legend can be moved by clicking on and dragging it around and resized by clicking on the 'Point' in the bottom right corner and dragging it to your desired size
- The background and boarder can be added or removed by clicking the 'Fill background' box. The legend can be removed by clicking 'Remove legend'
The legend will display all products which currently contain a measure.
- The products displayed in the legend can be added or removed by clicking the filter tick box for your products within the 'Measure' section.
The legend will be included on both the drawing and measurements page in takeoff exports when the 'Markup' option is selected.
