Release summary
This release focuses on speed and clarity — helping you work faster in takeoff, stay organised in the Rate Build Up, and surface the information you need with fewer clicks.
Whether you're navigating large drawings, fine-tuning your pricing, or pushing invoices into Xero, these updates are all about making your daily workflow smoother and more efficient.
Why these changes matter
- Faster takeoff workflows – Select, delete and move measures more easily
- Smarter rendering – Speed up slow drawings with bitmap mode
- Improved visibility – See key product details without clicking in
- Streamlined finance handover – See project names in Xero at a glance
Enhancements
Select and Delete Multiple Measures
You can now select multiple measures on a drawing and delete them all at once.
On desktop, hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) and click to select, or draw a lasso around a group. On iPad, use the select tool and tap or drag to build your selection. A count of selected measures appears in the left panel, along with a Delete button.
For further details, see article Multi select and bulk deleting measures.
Move Measures to a Different Product
You can now move one or more measures to a different product within the same drawing — no redrawing required.
Just select your measures, choose a destination product, and confirm. The measure colour updates instantly.
For further details, see article Moving measures to different products.
Greyscale Background Display
You can now toggle the background drawing to greyscale while keeping your measures in full colour — making it easier to spot what’s been measured on colour-heavy drawings.
For further details, see article Greyscale Background Display.
Choose How Your Background Drawing Renders
You can now switch between two rendering modes for your background drawings:
- PDF (default) – Full vector detail, ideal for zooming
- Bitmap – Faster loading and navigation, especially for large or complex drawings
For further details, see article Background Rendering Mode Options.
See Where You Last Left Off
When working in large assessments, it’s now easier to pick up where you left off. The last product you viewed is subtly highlighted in yellow next time you return to the Rate Build Up screen.
This applies across tabs — for example, when switching from the BoQ and back.
View Product Notes as Columns
You can now display internal and external notes as optional columns in the Rate Build Up. This allows you to review product notes without needing to click into each item.
Enable the columns using the cog icon
For further details, see section J. of article How to set up a rate build up
Material and Labour Bills: Filters Now Remembered
Your filter settings on the Material Bill and Labour Bill pages are now saved when navigating away. No more reapplying filters every time you return to the page.
Xero Integration: Project Name Added to Invoice Notes
When you push a purchase invoice to Xero, the project name now appears automatically in the bill’s History & Notes section — making it easier to trace where each invoice came from.
This applies to all invoice types pushed after this release.
Other Improvements
- Rate Build Up: When you clone a product, it now appears directly below the original instead of at the bottom of the list
- Rate Build Up: You can now click the quantity value to jump straight to that product’s entry in the Bill of Quantities
- Product Templates: Drag handles are now available when editing templates in the Resources section
- Xero Integration: Labour applications without retention no longer include a £0.00 retention line item when pushed to Xero
